Hello,
Are you asking about your direct deposit information and that it is wrong?
There can be a couple of reasons why your direct deposit information may be different.
- There was a typo when the direct deposit information was entered. If this is the case for you, the bank is likely to reject the direct deposit and send it back to the IRS. The IRS will usually end up sending you a check in the mail. This usually takes a few weeks to do.
- You used the Pay with Refund method to pay our filing fees. When you select to pay our fee with your federal or state refund, you set up a temporary bank account with Civista Bank, a division of the Santa Barbara's TPG group. This bank account information is printed on your federal and state return and e-filed to the IRS and your state along with your direct deposit information. The IRS and your state will deposit your refund into the temporary bank account, our fees will be extracted, and the remainder will be deposited into the direct deposit account you provided.
You can check the status of your refund once it has been sent to TPG here:
To view the personal bank account information, you entered to receive your direct deposit, please go to Final Steps > Check Status/Print Return. Then click the "How will I get my federal refund?" line and then click the box to "Show Bank Account Information."
If that doesn’t answer your question, you may need to contact support as they can take a look at your account and see what is going on.
