Received 1099 after I filed

I just retired last year and I received several 1099r. I received one after I filed. I have read not to amend until I receive refund or until IRS rejects. The IRS has accepted my return, should I wait or file a amended return?

Hello Denise,

I would recommend that you wait. The IRS says that if there are omitted forms, they will usually request those from you before they finish processing your return.

If you get your refund back and there has been no changes to it, then I would recommend proceeding with the amendment.
