2024 Amended return values doesn't show on current 2025 return comparisons

Hello, I completed a 2024 tax return and a 2024 amendment (1040x) both on FreeTaxUSA. I'm currently working on my 2025 taxes now.

I noticed that in the summary pages that compare individual 2024 and 2025 fields (such as income, deductions, etc…), the 2024 column fields are the old 1040 values rather than the 1040x as amended values. Is this a bug in the software? If it matters, I had to file the 2024 amended return via mail.

This is more of an annoyance than a problem, I just need to look at the pdf copy of the filed 2024 1040x when comparing to 2025. Thanks…

    Thank you for reaching out about this. If you finalized both your original and amended 2024 returns in the same account, the summary page should typically display the amended amounts when comparing to your 2025 return. Since it's showing the original 2024 values instead, this may need a closer look.

    In the meantime, you can view both your 2024 original and amended finalized returns by navigating to Account > Prior Years and selecting to view 2024. This will give you access to the PDF copies you need for comparison purposes.

    Since the summary isn't reflecting the amended values as expected, I'd recommend reaching out to our Support team through the Support tool within your account so they can investigate why the comparison is pulling from the original return rather than the amendment.
