Should I claim RMDs plus capital gains once, together, as income?

    Hello Surcuyo,

    Yes, you will claim your RMD and the gains on that distribution as one entry in the software. Generally, the administrator of your account will issue one 1099-R for your RMD. This 1099-R will include the distribution and any gains in box 1. Any gains on the distribution will be taxed the same as the rest of the distribution.
