INDIVIDUAL SHARED RESPONSIBILITY PENALTY
Hi! I am getting a INDIVIDUAL SHARED RESPONSIBILITY PENALTY of $900 on my state tax return. I am on my dad's insurance, which is employer provided private insurance. So i did not classify it as marketplace. But from my understanding ,this penalty is for not having insurance, which I do. Please help! I don't know how to fix this penalty

You are getting the penalty because you answered the question about whether or not you had health insurance all year incorrectly. (Or you haven't gotten to that question yet.) Have you finished your state return? If so, go back and find that question and fix it. If you haven't finished, do so first.

the only question i see that ive been asked is if i have marketplace insurance which i dont. under the health insurance section that is the only question. where can i find the section for other health insurance?
