Where is the use tax section for North Carolina?

in Filing my taxes

I am working on the Non-resident return and this section isn't showing in FreeTaxUSA. Is this completely absent from the software? It is a part of NC D-400…and I've worked with another service in the past which has it.

    Hi CatD,

    If you are filing a resident NC D400, then you will see the use tax option in your account on the State > Use Tax screen in your account.

    If you are filing a nonresident NC tax return, you will not see the use tax option because use tax typically only applies to your resident state.
