Is this not supported by FreeTaxUSA? I have a K-1 I am attempting to enter and do not see this option? Anybody know?

Unfortunately, Box 13 Code J is one of two codes for Box 13 not currently supported by our software. You can find a list of supported codes in the Schedule K-1 entry screen within the software by clicking on the circled question mark next to the Box 13 description. A popup Tax Help box will appear with "What do the codes mean in Box 13 of the K-1 for partnerships?". Any codes that are not supported are indicated by an asterisk. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

There is no Box 13J. There's a Box 13. 'J' is a possible code that can be entered there. Here are the instructions for the K-1. https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1065sk1.pdf It explains what to do with Code J entries on pages 20 & 21.

Ok let me rephrase then. On the K-1 in FreeTaxUSA there is a box 13 with a drop down. On box 13 there is no code J option. It goes in alphabetical order and skips over J.

OK, if we get a K-1 form and have code J in box 13 with an amount, in Freetaxusa can we use ZZ Other and enter the amount. How do we/can we enter this without it being "supported". Is there a workaround, or a manual way, even if it means printing and filling out in handwriting? My amount is only $10. A lot of work for this little.

    Hi BadgerDon,

When we don't support an item, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of your return. If you elect to do some sort of workaround, you take that risk.
