Can't find a way to file 1095-A / IRS Form 8962 on FreeTaxUSA?

Hi everyone.

I can't file my 1095-A / IRS Form 8962, even if I follow the exact menu path: Deductions/Credits > Health Insurance > Marketplace Health Insurance (1095-A).

Does anyone know where or how I can file it on my taxes?

    Form 8962 will generate after you have entered the information from your 1095-A form in the section that you have indicated.

    If you select "yes" when asked if you had Marketplace insurance, you will be guided through entering your 1095-A form information. This process will help calculate your Premium Tax Credit and will report this information on Form 8692.

    I see that the 1095 is a question after you get through the

    Deductions/Credits

    I had this same issue. I checked 3 times when filing my taxes in the spring and nothing showed up. I received a letter from the health insurance marketplace and am being told if I do not submit the 8962 I could lose my insurance and this must be reconciled. I just went in to make corrections to try an submit the Form 8962/Form 1095-A. There was not a prompt asked after I finished with the deductions tab.

    Below is what I see, as a prompt to fill out for additional information. Neither are the forms I require.

    Do you have any of these common tax forms to enter?

    • Form 1099-INT for interest income
    • Form 1099-SA or 5498-SA showing HSA information

    Please advise for further clarification. Additionally, I am not being claimed as a dependent on anyone else's tax prep.

    The question of if you have a Marketplace Insurance Form 1095-A will not show up if you are being claimed as a dependent on another tax return. I see that you told us that you are not to be claimed as a dependent on your community discussion.

    Please return to the menu path Personal > Taxpayer Information and read the questions carefully to see if you checked the wrong answer. After you have checked this area, then you may be able to see the Marketplace Insurance question to enter the Form 1095-A and proceed to file with a Form 8962.
