Am i able to file a final estate tax return through Freetaxusa?

I need to file a final estate tax return for the trust of a deceased parent, am i able to do this on Freetaxusa?

    No, FreeTaxUSA doesn’t support filing an estate tax return (Form 706) or fiduciary estate/trust returns (Form 1041), so you can’t do the final estate tax return through it. You’d need to prepare and file those separately (often by mail or with a tax pro) if one is required.

    Hrmbassociate is correct. We do not support the filing of estate tax returns. FreeTaxUSA is used for individual income tax returns and the forms filed with it. You will need to file that return elsewhere. If you do get a Schedule K-1 from that estate that you need to file with your individual income tax return, we do support that.
