I selected checking instead of savings account when entering my banks info. Do i need to correct it

I noticed that i accidently selected the wrong bank account type after i submitted both of my returns. Do i need to amend them or leave them be ?

    Hello Noelstaxaccount,

    Have your returns been accepted yet? If they end up being rejected, you then can go back and fix your direct deposit.

    If they have been accepted, then you are not able to change your bank account information. Amending will not fix it either. If the IRS is not able to send your refund via direct deposit, they will mail you a check to the address on the tax return.
    If you still do not receive it, you can initiate a refund trace so they can see where it ended up.

    Also, you may want to contact Customer Support while signed into your account.
