State tax payment date

Just a heads up regarding payment for your state taxes using the bank routing payment. Check to make sure the software does not populate a past due date for your automatic withdraw for payment. In my case after not seeing money taken out of my checking account I contacted thru chat Freetaxusa and found that the payment was to be made 7/15/ 26. Do not know how this happened but a pop up should have come up saying this is past due before I hit send. Now I have to undo this payment through my state and resubmit a payment . Check your bank account, don't assume anything.

    Hello robm,

    Generally, our software doesn't allow customers to select payment dates past the due date for direct deposit right now. Could you please contact customer support again and ask it to be sent to KiaraB? I'd be happy to look into it further for you.

    I will try to contact customer support. It is taken care of on my end. I had to send my state a email to a certain email address to ask the payment to be stopped.
