I left my job in the fall of 2022 and did not work in 2023. I am 63 years old and have not filed for SS benefits yet nor have I taken any payments from my retirement fund. I do not own any property. Do I need to fill out any tax forms for the IRS since no income for 2023?

Generally, if your adjusted gross income is below the filing threshold (13,850 if single and under age 65) then you are not required to file a tax return. There are exceptions, if you have at least $400 of self-employment income, then you need to file a return.

You can use this tool from the IRS to help you determine if you should file: https://www.irs.gov/help/ita/do-i-need-to-file-a-tax-return
