Can’t E file 2022 with IP pin

I have an IP Pin and cannot e file 2022 taxes. Is it too late? It says e file not available but I thought this was still possible

    @Lolana

    Are you talking about the IRS IP Pin or the personal pin that you generate when you did your first FreeTaxUSA efiling?

    If it is the IRS IP Pin, did you get one for the 2022 Tax year?

    I just requested one now. Taxes just now getting done so I didn’t know to request one then. (my tax guy died and I let the time get away from me) I’ve filed since then but I’m just now knowing to request the IP pin from the IRS.

    Remember that you will need a new one each year you file your taxes.

    You will have to go to the IRS website to get the new IRS IP Pin.
    Per their website "Once you have opted in and obtained an IP PIN online, you will need to retrieve your IP PIN online each calendar year as a CP01A Notice will not be mailed."

    Thanks. I have a new IRS IP Pin. I just requested and received. I can’t e file the 2022 year with it? I had to have gotten one back then 2022 in order to e file?? Freetaxusa says e file not available at this time but it also says you can file past year’s taxes. What would be the reason I cannot e file 2022 in this year 2026?
