Employee Business Expenses

My wife works as a dental hygienist and had almost $2000 of expenses in 2025 related to her job (uniforms, loupes, etc.) Am I correct that none of that is deductible this time?

Federally, employee business expenses were eliminated as an itemized deduction in 2018. Some states still allow such deductions, however.
