Hi, I’m a >2% shareholder in an S-Corp and need to claim the self-employed health insurance deduction (Form 7206).

  • I received a K-1 from the S-Corp. I tried entering the health insurance amount during the K-1 interview when it asked for health insurance premiums, but the deduction doesn’t get placed on any form (for giggles, I made the amount really high and it would itemize my deductions if I did that, but I'll be filing standard this year).
  • I didn’t see a way to indicate that I’m a >2% shareholder during the interview questions.
  • I want to make sure the deduction is correctly applied on Schedule 1 of Form 1040, line 17.

Thanks!

This was me not reading the interview correctly and not inputting my Medicare wages above the health insurance amount. Whoops. The support team is great and glad to finally have switched over to FTU.
