Can I manually change a FreeTaxUSA calculation?

FreeTaxUSA doubled my withholding in its calculations. Since I owe no taxes my refund is also doubled. I completed but didn't submit the return. Can I manually correct the FreeTaxUSA calculation and correct the error before submitting?

You should try to find out why the problem arose. Go back and check all of the entries you made for withholding. Make sure you didn't mistakenly enter the figure in more than one box. Was your withholding all from W-2s or were there other sources? Was there more than one document involved?

    Hello jcon47,

There is no way to manually change a calculation that the software has made. If your withholding is doubled, it may be entered incorrectly. I would recommend reviewing what you have entered in the software. If you are not able to find an error, please contact us directly from the support center in your account so that we can view your account-specific information and help you more directly.
