Is the Where's My Fund tool accurate?
I filed on time but there is no record of my information when I go to the IRS "Where's My Refund?" tool. Does this mean they haven't received my form yet, so it's late? I'm not sure what to think of this. - Thanks

The IRS's "Where's My Refund" tool provides an update once the IRS is processing your refund. If you mailed your tax forms, or if the IRS is reviewing your return, you may not see an update on their tool right away. We recommend continuing to check their tool once a week to see if they've updated the status.
You're always welcome to contact the IRS by phone by calling 800-829-1040 to speak with an IRS phone agent.

The IRS has repeatedly communicated how backed up they are during this last tax season. It can take some time for processing and my experience has been that refunds from E-files comes within 2-3 weeks. The above advice to keep checking the tool is great. You can also use this office locator tool if you want to meet face to face.

Funny they were very quick to take my money however (within 3 days of filing!)
