Can I upload last years return to my account?

Hi,

I just started a new FreeTaxUSA account to finish my extension. I wanted to compare last year to this year. Can I upload my return from another tax service and compare things?

    We're so glad you love this software - we love it, too!

    The option to import last year's return is available right after you create your account. If you missed that screen, you will need to create a new account in order to import last year's return. If you need help, please click on "Support" once you're logged into your account & our agents will be happy to assist you.

    I don't see where the import option is on my new account

    Hi brianc0610. These are the screens you will see at the very beginning to import your return. If you go past this opportunity, you will need to create a new account and begin again.

    After creating a new account, begin here.

    Choose 'Filed online with another service'

    If I can only import last year's taxes via PDF when I first create an account, how can I cancel/close my account so I can create a new account using my same email address?

    You can use the same email address on multiple accounts; you will just need to use a unique username for each account. Your "old" account cannot be deleted, but unless you choose to file anything from that account, nothing more will be done with it.
