I was married in August. My husband and I both live in the same state and I am still attending university. He works full time and I work part time. Should we be filing jointly? Is there a benefit to filing separately?

Thank you in advance!

Each tax situation is different, so what may be best for one couple may not be the best for another. Often, Married Filing Jointly is more beneficial because of credits that are not available if you file separately.
