do traditional IRA withdrawals count as earnings as far as social security is concerned? If not, how do I make sure it’s not counted? Is there a certain code I’m supposed to be using?

Hi Neat, thank you for your question today. Traditional IRA withdrawals are generally not included as earned income when determining if you can collect Social Security income. However, the IRA withdrawal is included as taxable income and therefore may increase the amount of your Social Security Income that is taxable.
