I messed up on my 2024 taxes

hello, I think I messed up on my 2024 taxes. I amended and sent it back and it came back worse and I don’t know what I did or need to do. I need help please!!

    Hi,

    I am assuming you mean your 2023 tax or some other year.

    Did the IRS send you a letter that changed the initial return or the amended return? Why did you need to amend in the first place?

    Let us know. In general, you only are required to amend your return if there was an item of income that was missed which would change the tax due or the amount of the refund you received on the original return. You always want to amend a return within 3 years of the filing deadline if there was a deduction or credit that could provide a refund that was missed on the original return.
