Why, do I always have to pay back on my taxes? I file single every year with just me as the dependent.

Hello, it is possible that you don't have enough withheld from your paychecks, which results in having to pay taxes when you file your tax return. If you are owing year after year, it's usually a good sign to increase the amount that your employer withholds from your paycheck.
You can also look at your deductions/credits and make sure you are claiming everything possible. This can reduce your overall taxes.
