How will I file if I received money from nycha after tenant pass away and will need give the money back?

    You will enter the Income received from NYCHA as Income in the Rental Income section of your return. You can then, offset the income received by entering the amount paid back as a Rental Expense under Miscellaneous Expenses. Provide an explanation within the description section. This will offset the income received.
