I have paid off my home 2022 and now just pay property taxes in 2023. Are property taxes a deductible?

    Yes. According to this IRS publication, they are considered a deductible.

    To claim them on your tax return you would need to itemize your deductions instead of the taking the Standard Deduction.

    You can find where to enter this in our software here: Deductions and Credits > Itemized Deductions > Homeowner Expenses (1098).
