Refund being held

What can I do if the irs still has my refund from 2023 and the deadline on the notice I received is long past?
I've requested help from TAS but haven't heard anything. I've also called the irs but they have "disconnected" the call after waiting hours to get help on 3 occasions.
I triple checked my return for mistakes, I don't understand what the hold up is.

Hello,
The IRS is very understaffed and it is hard to get a hold of them. The main thing I would recommend is to keep trying to contact them. I have heard that in the evenings in the middle of the week tend to go through better.
