We misinterpreted the new rule about taking out RMD's since my wife doesn't turn 73 until next year. We have taken out the RMD's for 2023 and 2024 last week. We have typed a letter asking for a waiver for reasonable cause for the 2023 RMD we missed. How do I alert the IRS about this situation?
