I now have a non-profit which I got my determination letter in December 2023. Do I have to file a 990?

Typically, non-profit organizations will use a Form 990 or one of the forms in the 990 series. The IRS has a chart that goes over the filing thresholds for Form 990:

1,000.00 is all I have in the business bank account. Could someone assist me with the 990 and choosing the correct one?

The above link to the thresholds table provided by the IRS will let you know which 990 Form you need to file based on your organization's gross receipts. The chart also includes instructions for each form.

As an organizational tax return, FreeTaxUSA does not support filing Form 990. We will be able to assist with individual forms you need for filing!
