I'm retired on SS. How do I report a small income for running errands for someone.

If you are participating in the gig economy (where people earn income providing on-demand work, services or goods) then you would report this income directly on a Schedule C as a part of your tax return.
Gig work is certain activity you do to earn income, often through an app or website (digital platform), like:- Drive a car for booked rides or deliveries
- Rent out property or part of it
- Run errands or complete tasks
- Sell goods online
- Rent equipment
- Provide creative or professional services
- Provide other temporary, on-demand or freelance work
This income is considered self-employment income. The Schedule C you would report this on is easily located in our software by clicking 'Income' and selecting 'Business Income (Schedule C)' from the drop-down menu. As you fill out the information in this section, you would report the income you made as gross income that was not reported to you on a 1099 form.
