Are student loan payments tax deductible?

    Hello Raul,

    The whole payment payment is not tax deductible, but the interest you paid is. You should get a 1098-E in the mail showing the amount of interest you paid. Make sure you enter that in the Deductions/Credit section on FreeTaxUSA.
