I found a W2 from tax year 2023 that was placed in my tax folder for 2024, how can I amend the return for 2023

    Yes, you can amend your return for 2023. That is the correct response when finding more income. You will need to sign into the 2023 version of FreeTaxUSA, since 2024 is now the default.

    After you sign in, click the Account menu in the top right and choose Amend Tax Return to get started. Be sure to read and select the right information on the first couple of screens to start your Amendment on the right spot.
