To wait or not to wait for a corrected W2

My current employer's HR representative is unreliable when it comes to communication. I have informed them that my W2 has a duplicate paycheck as well as missing 1 paycheck. I have been notified as of last Friday that communication has been made to the payroll provider and hoping for a response by this week ( which has not happened as of this current Friday).
Do I HAVE to wait for a corrected W2 before filing my taxes?

However, if you anticipate receiving a corrected W-2 before the April 15th due date, it may be advisable to wait to avoid having to amend your return later.
