I have a question regarding Colorado Subtractions fromIncome for FAMLI Benefits from 1099.
I am unable to move forward with my Colorado state tax return because I'm not sure if I enter the entire amount of FAMLI money received on the Colorado State Subtracts page. My state refund is $304 before entering an amount on the subtractions page but changes to $759. I'm just worried because it's a $459 diffrence and I don't want to get audited or have to pay back.
There is only the total amount received on my FAMLI 1099 in box 1 Unemployment compensation. So that is the only number I would be able to enter anyway.
On the Colorado Subtractions page it does have a specific drop down for Famli benifits but I'm still confused by the explanation provide with the ? Icon.
To summarize I just need to know if I need to enter anything at all on the subtractions page or skip this section altogether. I
Any help and answers to my question are greatly appricated. Thank you
