Putting my friend as a dependable?

I have a friend who just got her PHD early this year. She has been staying with me basically free for the past year as she job hunts. Am I even able to put my friend down as a dependent on my taxes? She has no job at this time.

    Use the IRS Interactive Tax Assistant (https://www.irs.gov/help/ita/whom-may-i-claim-as-a-dependent) to determine if you can claim someone as a dependent.
