I received a 1099-misc for taking time off after the birth of my child in 2024. As far as I know this is taxable Federally but not in NY. I filled out the 1099-misc form but I dont see this income being pulled out from my NYS taxable income. Please let me know what I am doing wrong.

Hi SCRANE6988,
Congrats on adding a new member to your family! Yay!
According to the Department of Taxation and Finance, New York Paid Family Leave benefits are taxable. You can read more about that here. This is why the income is being reported on your NY state tax return.
