Filing CA Taxes but parent only has ITIN

Hello,

I am in the process of filing my states taxes (CA) and the form asks me for  parent information. If my parent only has an ITIN can i place this in the section asking for a SSN? I can’t move forward unless all the information is inputted.

It looks like from this other discussion, you should just be able to use their ITIN!
