Sch F Home Office

I'm trying to enter home office expenses for a farm, but I can't find where to input this in the Schedule F section of the tax software I'm using. Has anyone else run into this issue? Are there any workarounds or tips on where I might be able to enter these expenses properly?

Hmmm, same problem. Did you ever get an answer? I'm told it's supposed to be part of Sched. F, but form 8829 must accompany it. I can't access the forms directly, so that's a problem.

FYI, I ended up putting it into "Other Expenses" on Sched F as a Simplified Method expense based on square footage.

Hi,
Unfortunately, there is no line for home office deduction for Schedule F. However, you can take the home office deduction in the miscellaneous section of the common expenses of the Schedule F.
The simplified option has a rate of $5 a square foot for business use of the home. The maximum size for this option is 300 square feet. The maximum deduction under this method is $1,500.
