My State Summary for Arkansas shows all my income (99% of which is earned in other state) as TOTAL ARKANSAS INCOME although I have specified that I am non-resident of Arkansas and my Arkansas income is ****. I have had multiple returns filed previously and it always showed my TOTAL ARKANSAS INCOME as it was and not my total income.

Is this a bug in the software? Has anyone faced this before? Anyway to get help from FreeTax support?

Usually, part-year and non-resident state tax returns begin with the federal income amount, calculate the tax, and then allocate the income and tax according to the amount of income that is specific to that state. The state tax summary screens in our software will then generally begin with the total income amount, so it can be a bit confusing and seem as if all your income is being taxed, but the actual tax amount on the return will only be for the amount of Arkansas income.

You can contact customer support through the support center in your account if you would like a specific explanation for the amounts reported on the summary screen in your account and how your Arkansas tax is being calculated.
