because I AM HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD. But FREE TAX USA is asking me this question??

Do you have an agreement with Liam's other parent saying who can claim him?

NO ONE ELSE CAN CLAIM MY SON! My husband passed away the summer of 2019. Please help me so I can move forward with this ridiculous process!

    You should select “No,” since there’s no custody arrangement or legal agreement because the other parent has passed away.

    That will let you proceed and still claim:

    • Head of Household filing status
    • Your son as your dependent
    • Any applicable credits (like the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Credit)
