457b tax excempt withdrawal

I withdrew $20,000 from my 457b plan which is exempt from nys tax but I cannot find where on the tax form that marks it as exempt from nys tax? it shows up in my taxable income.

    NY does have two Pension subtractions. Your 457(b) plan may come from a NYS and Local Governments and the Federal Government or other Pension from outside NY state. The pages for these inputs come after the NY subtractions page. You would need to answer Yes to these questions and continue to provide the Pension amounts that apply. The NY Pension and Annuity Subtraction Summary will provide the details of the amounts subtracted from your NY state tax return.
