Can I do amended return with FreeTaxUSA software?

Yes, you can create an amended tax return in FreeTaxUSA.
If you did not file your tax return with us originally, you will first need to recreate your tax return 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 as originally filed with the IRS and/or state. After you have entered all information, you will select to 'mail' your tax return to the IRS and/or state if applicable. This will allow the software to consider your return 'as if' it has been filed.
Do not, of course, file the return.
Once 'filed', you can immediately select to amend your tax return. For prior year returns you can start here. This includes tax year 2022.
Once complete, you will need to print, sign and date, and mail your return. Keep a copy for your records. I like to recommend mailing tax returns to the IRS or state via Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested which is about $7 at the post office. Not required, but an option.
