VSUXX Dividend is not taxable for NJ but Taxable for Federal

How to achieve this with FreeTaxUSA as entire dividend amount is being considered for taxation for NJ state return , How to change this amount manually for NJ state tax return

    Hi Mark122,

    Make sure when you enter the 1099-DIV you answer Yes, to the question, "Is this a mutual fund that has U.S. Government interest income?" Press Save. On the next page, "State Tax-Exempt Dividends" enter the amount that is exempt in NJ and Save. You don't enter that on the NJ State pages.
