confused about rental income apparently changes for 2025?

I've been filing on FreeTaxUSA for years, I have a small amount of rental income but I'm confused by the software this year. Nothing has changed now from the past 5 years or more. But now at "INCOME" I am presented with the question, "Did you get a 1099-MISC?" to which I reply, No, and then it asks, "Did you receive a Form 1099-K reporting income for this rental?". I did not get this either, so I answer, "No".
Then it says "Enter the amount of rental income during 2024 that wasn't reported to you on Form 1099-MISC:" I don't understand "wasn't reported to you". If I enter nothing, it simply closes and ends everything, and there's no further option to do anything.

I don't remember seeing these prompts before in this way. What is the purpose of them, and what am I doing wrong?
I'm basically filing the same as last year and year before…. but this time its not making sense. Am I supposed to fill out one of these forms now, maybe?

It means your rental income that you kept track of and that no one sent you a form for. In other words, all of the rental income you received in 2024, since you didn't receive a 1099-MISC or -K to report that income to you. The reason the question is asked is that the IRS receives copies of the 1099s, and it's easier for them to match that up with your income if you enter the income reported on those forms that way and let the amounts get transferred to the correct place on the tax return. It doesn't apply to you since you didn't receive either of those forms; just report your total rental income when it asks for "not reported to you."
