I just found my 1099g forms for refunds from my 2019 2020 and 2021 taxes and I didn't file them. I'm wondering if I could still file even though I already got my returns I didn't do them threw efile

    Hello Clos,

If all of the 1099-G forms were received in 2024, they can be reported on your 2024 return. If you already mailed a 2024 return and received your refund, you can amend your return to include the information.

Your state refund isn't taxable if you took the Standard Deduction on last year's tax return instead of itemizing your deductions on Schedule A. Generally, your state refund is taxable if you deducted your state tax payments on last year's federal tax return. However, some exceptions could lower the taxable amount of your state refund or even make it completely nontaxable.

To start an amendment, select Account in the top right corner of your account and select Amend Tax Return. Taxable state refunds from Form 1099-G can be entered by going to Income > Taxable State Refund (1099-G) in your account.
