I Want to Start My Taxes Over

I did my 2023 taxes and included my business in which I didn't make any money. I would like to redo my taxes without the business, instead of amending it. I am supposed to mail it in, but I haven't. Can I just start all over? I did my tax on this site.

You are able to open up the Federal screens to make changes before mailing the tax return with the business. Navigate to the Final Steps > Check Status/Print Tax Return. On that page under the Federal tile will be a blue link to unlock your Federal Screens. Click that link and make your changes. Then you can complete the Final Steps again with the Mail-In option.

It is fortunate that you caught this mistake before mailing in the tax return, so you don't need to amend your 2023 return.
