Mistyped SSN during filing

Hi, I filed my taxes on April 10th and paid the balance due through FTUSA, and got a text that they were rejected.
I logged in, corrected the SSN which was off by one digit, and filed again, and was not charged again, so I thought everything was fine.
I got letter from the IRS that the remainder of my balance is due.
How do I resolve this? Can FTUSA do chargeback, or do I call the IRS? Can my credit card do a chargeback?

Hello, Uncert.
It is very important that you resolve this issue with the IRS. It appears that you have with your update. However, you will want to contact the IRS directly to ensure that the balance on the online account is correct. You can call the IRS using the general number 1-800-829-1040 or you can use this link to an IRS office locator that may have easier options to get a live agent.

Took forever to get someone on the line but finally did.
The representative was confused as well, it looks like I fell in that hole that the payment took a little longer to confirm so the notice went out, but was resolved by the time I got the notice.
Thanks

I just checked my account at IRS.gov and it shows the payment, and that I have a 0 balance, probably a small refund coming from that payment
I'll call them tomorrow.
