I need my final 1040s (Fed and State) without the FreeTaxUSA cover sheet

I need to send my final 1040s to a third party for… let's just say legal things. I do not want these folks to know my FreeTaxUSA username or the fact that I have purchased Audit protection. I just want to send them the bare minimum since they are going to be asking me… all sorts of unrelated questions.

Do I really need to go through the hoops of tricking Adobe into another free trial just so I can delete the pages using their Organize Pages tool? If I try printing to PDF, the final size is almost 15 Mb compared to the original filesize of 400 kb.

It is a lot of work to get the documents down to a shareable state.

    Hi Hamser_OTool,

I'm sorry for the trouble you've had. You're right—the pdf version of your tax return includes a cover sheet. I can see why you wouldn't want to submit that information to a third party. We don't currently have a way to remove the cover sheet on our end of things, so you would need to do that on your end.

It sounds like you're aware of a way to do that using Adobe. You also have the option to print the pdf and then scan or take a picture of only the pages you need to submit to the third party.

I apologize for the hassle this may be. I'll pass your feedback on for future consideration. We're always looking for ways to improve our software.
