How does Free Tax handle payments when IRS states they never received the payment

Question

Hello, We filed our 2024 federal return and paid the taxes due when we filed.  A week ago, in June, we received a letter from the IRS stating our taxes were due.  My credit has been charged but IRS is showing no payment.  I need information on how the payment was submitted by FreeTaxUSA and any help to resolve the unpaid tax to IRS.   Please help

Hi Stewart2815,

If you paid by bank debit (ACH), then check your bank account to see if the charge went through.  If you paid by credit card draft, then check your credit card statement for a charge.
