Is this good to use as a new tax preparer?

Hello, I've recently been approved for my EFIN (already have a PTIN) and want to start filing taxes; however, I don't have the funds to purchase software. Is this a good system to begin with as a paid preparer while I get new clients? For those who are using it, can you explain how you offer your services? And, has this been a better alternative for you? I have so many questions.

Thank you in advance.

    Hello Lourdes.

You make a good point. We do have areas of the interview screens to indicate that you are an Electronic Filier. Your first return will be subject to providing your EFIN credentials, but after that you can file an unlimited amount of tax returns using your email, or others, for record keeping purposes.

Keep in mind that you (or your clients) will still need to pay for any ordered services including Deluxe and Pro Support and State returns. You can pass those costs on to the customer or pay them yourself. The Federal return is always free. The FreeTaxUSA software is still developing each year to include more tax situations in comparison to other Tax software packages that may already support all tax situations for your clients.

I am providing the information as an initial answer to your questions as a FreeTaxUSA agent. However, other members of the community may respond to your other questions on this forum.
