Telling me to check wages on w-2 in box 16 because amount is different but amount is correct?
At the very end of filing, I am suddenly being pinged that the wages on my husbands w-2 for box 16 in the state of UT do not match what was put in the system except I didn't type in anything, the system auto-populated it from his uploaded w-2 and all the amounts are correct.
We were residents in GA from 1/1/25 through 2/14/25 and lived in UT the rest of 2025.
I uploaded my husbands W-2 to freetax. It has his GA wages and taxes listed separately from his UT wages and taxes. I triple checked that the amounts of his wages in box 16 for both GA and UT on the physical w-2 match what is put into the system under his regular w-2 page, the UT part time resident section, etc. Everything is correct but the system is telling me that what is actually on the W-2 is $5000 more.
"Double-Check Wages for Utah
The amount of Utah wages shown on your Form W-2(s) is $125,608, but you entered $120,951 of wages on your Utah return."
If I could I would upload a screen shot of these boxes but I don't seem to be able. If I submit anyway, is my e-file going to be rejected? Is this just a glitch in the system?
Thanks!

Hello GenoFam22,
This is a situation that I would recommend that you contact customer support about. There are a few situations that it could be and I hesitate to tell you what to do without looking at your account and seeing what is going on.
It could be that there is a typo somewhere, or a question answered incorrectly. Do you possibly have more income taxable by Utah than just your husband's one W-2? Customer support will be able to review your account and see exactly what is happening and explain it to you so it can get fixed.
Until that point, I wouldn't recommend submitting your return because it could cause some problems with the IRS later on.0
