How do I get my refund

I filed and put my bank information in and I was told I would receive a check in the mail but instead it was deposited to an old account I have access to this account but the account has a 0 dollar balance but irs says its sitting there

I do believe if you entered your banks routing and account number on your 1040 then the IRS will do a Direct Deposit.
Double check you 1040 and see what routing and account numbers you entered.
Should be on Line 35 b and d.
Not sure if you go here to check on your refund if it tells you where it was sent to.
